Meet the friendly staff at {Olson Veterinary Services}!

  • Dr.
    Randi Olson

For over 50 years Dr. Olson has been a resident of Porter County.  She knew that she wanted to become a veterinarian from a very young age.  It was after watching the original 1967 Dr. Dolittle movie that she knew she wanted to learn how to talk to animals and believed that if she become a veterinarian she could.  Her mother, a nurse, was passionate about helping animals, her father, a doctor, was passionate about helping people.  She grew up actively involved with rescuing people and animals her whole life.  This included all sets of animals including horses, cattle ducks, pigs, goats, birds, dogs, and cats.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Purdue University in 1982 and graduated with honor.  She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1986.  She has over 30 years of experience in the veterinary field but makes state of the art medical knowledge and advancement a priority.

She believes that client education and communication are extremely important and that she, the clinic staff, and the pet owner should function together as a pet healthcare team.

Influenced by her parents' medical backgrounds and their passion for helping both animals and people, she developed a passion for veterinary medicine.   She is a fan of Albert Scweitzer and his belief in 'reverence for all life'  became a pescatarian in 2017.  She is the proud parents of two sons:  Ryan who is finishing his MBA at the Kelly School of Business in Indianapolis and Dan a sophomore at IU Bloomington who is pursing a career in human medicine.

Dr. Olson currently lives with her family of 4 rescue animals:  'Callie' a pit bull mix, 'Sheena' a domestic long hair cat, 'Kit Kat' a domestic short hair cat, and 'Winston' a domestic long hair cat.

  • Stacy Campbell

Stacy graduated from Portage High School and became interested in a career in veterinary medicine when she rescued and rehabilitated two squirrels that had been injured during a severe hurricane. Stacy is passionate about the care and treatment of all animals.

She has been working in the veterinary field for over 20 years and ensures that our office runs smoothly as well as making sure our clients and patients are well taken care of.

  • Shannon Boon

Shannon is currently living in DeMotte with her people family of three: her husband Dale and two sons Bradley and Brian as well as her animal family of two: Barkley, a Jack Russell Terrier, and her cat D.C.

She has a degree in Animal Science from Purdue University and has experience working as a veterinary assistant and a veterinary receptionist.

Shannon took time away to raise her family but is excited to be back assisting Dr. Olson with patients and caring for clients at the front desk.
